(Alfred goes to the communicator. In the 15 or so years since the colony was started, the communicator has been improved, as have receivers in Crowmeowme Tower. Direct dialing to any residence within is now possible. Alfred dials Oliver and Ronny's apartment.)
Ronny (v/o): Hello? Alfred: Ronny, it's Alfred. Ronny (v/o): How's Mirinoi? Alfred: Another beautiful day. I know Mum and Dad are coming for the twins birthday, Any chance you and Oliver could come to? Ronny (v/o): I'll have to ask Ollie when he gets back from the library. Any reason you want us to come? Alfred: Yeah. Mary and I need you to talk to Billy. He's being reckless with his super speed. I developed something to control that, but, I figured someone as experienced with speed as you could talk to him from experience. Ronny (v/o): OK, Ollie and I will talk about it when he gets home. And you'll get to meet the newest member of the family.
(Ronny picks up a baby girl.)
Ronny (v/o): Our first daughter. Rose Novum Crowmeowme. Alfred: She's adorable. Ronny (v/o): Most of the time. Still, not as much ofa handful as her brothers were.

(Several hours later, the twins return home from school. Willy and Maya's daughter, Mirianna, is with them.)
Melissa: Hi Mom, hi Daddy. Miri and I have a home ec project to work on. Alfred: We'll make sure Billy doesn't bother you two. Billy, come with us. Billy: Why does this sound like I'm getting grounded for this morning?

(Alfred and Mary take Billy into the kitchen. A device that looks like a watch is on the table.)
Billy: A new watch? Alfred: Not quite.
(Alfred places the device on Billy's wrist. It beeps.)
Alfred: Now, try to run around the house. Billy: Really? Alfred: Full speed.
(Billy starts running. In the time it would normally take him to get all the way upstairs, he's only at the kitchen door.)
Billy: My speed. Alfred: Blocked. Only your mother and I can deactivate it. We'll deactivate it for your training sessions, but otherwise, you're no faster than anyone else your age. Billy: This is so unfair. Alfred: I've already taken away your game systems. You'll get them back in a week. Keep this up, and I'll add on a week.

Alfred: If you're lucky, you'll get them back before your birthday. And your mother wants you to have a bar mitzvah. Melissa will have a bat mitzvah/ Billy: What does that mean, exactly?

Mary: It's a sign that you are of age. Thirteen, to be exact. My dad was trying to schedule it for March, but ran into problems. I hope he calls back.

(ooc: Technically, this is still taking place in late February 2031.)
Alfred: Your grandfather says you'll have to recite from the Torah. Billy: Any Minutiaeian traditions I have to know about? Alfred: Not for about five years. When you and Melissa each get your own residences. Billy: So, I don't have to recite anything in Minutiaeian? Alfred: No. We have no sacred texts or such.

Alfred: There is one other possibility, This CrowmeTech Cranny. The ultimate eBaook. It has every book ever written, in all languages. It hasn't been updated since we left Earth, but it should easily have the Torah.

(A few days later...)
Alfred: Good news, Mar. Terra Venture brought plenty of great books along when we left Earth. They're all now in the Venture City Library. And among the books are both the Torah and the Talmud. So, whatever the Rabbi wants them to read from, we're all set.
