Gray Lake... in the Future

This thread will have anything not taking place in the present or the recent past. The only exceptions will be during the reign of Venjix and the year 2500, as they already have their own threads. This can also have anything taking place on Mirnoi, carrying on the original post LG storylines, Newtech City, for further adventures at SPD, or the region around Time Force HQ in the 31st Century.

(Gray Lake. Seven years after the defeat of Venjix. Ronnie is at work at the garage, when someone enters. He's under a car, so he only hears footsteps.)

Ronnie: Be right with you. Just have to tighten a bolt.
Voice: Take your time

(The voice is familiar to Rnnnie.)

Ronnie: It cant be.

(Ronnie finishes tightening the bolt, and comes out from under the car. He sees a face he hasn't seen since he, Ree and Max left Corinth.)

Ronnie: Flynn?

(Indeed, it is Flynn.)

Flynn: Good to see ya, man.
Ronnie: Yeah. Ree and Max will be surprised. How'd you know I was here?
Flynn: I told the receptionist in the tower I was looking for ye. She told me you were over hear. Nice place.
Ronnie: Yeah. Mom and I run it together. Great commute.
Flynn: I'll say, Ye don't even need your teleporter.
Ronnie: Sometimes, it's if rainy. So, how's everything back in Corinth? We haven't talked since you told me Ziggy and Dr K got married.
Flynn: Well, Dad and I finally got the computer infrastructure stable. Dr K made sure there were no viruses.
Ronnie: Good idea.
Flynn: And, well, I'm dating Gemma.
Ronnie: I had a feeling about you two after you worked the Road Attack Zord together. When I'm done here, I'll have to take you to meet the newest members of the family.
Flynn: Ree get married?
Ronnie: No. She's too much of a free spirit. You know Ty and Tenaya were expecting when they left.
Flynn: Aye.
Ronnie: They've got a son, named Dillon Ronald Joseph. After all three of his uncles. And Tell and I have a new daughter. Veronica Vella. She's getting ready to turn six.
Flynn: Congratulations, man.
Ronnie: Thanks. She looks so much like Ree did at that age.
Flynn: So, you've got this? What about Ree, Max and Ty?
Ronnie: Ree's still a rescuer, like Tella and her parents. Now I have to worry about both of them, even more than I did in Corinth. Ty's become a consulting detective, sort of a modern Sherlock Holmes. Max is still looking for what he really wants to do. He sometimes helps out over here. Mainly when we've for a motorcycle to work on.
Flynn: Well, if he ever gets back to Corinth, his bike is running better than ever, thanks to me. Onca washes it once a week.
Ronnie: She's the real reason he'd like to get back there.

(After the garage closes, Ronnie takes Flynn over to the tower.)

Flynn: You're an adorable lass.
Veronica: Thank you. You sound pretty.
Flynn: That's because I'm Scottish.
Ronnie: He worked with Ree and I, before you were born.
Veronica: Oh.

(The doorbell rings.)

Tella: I'll get it.
Ronnie: I think you're about to meet the other new additions.
Flynn: Oh? That's Ty and Tenaya?
Ronnie: Nope.

(Twin boys, about three years old, run over to Ronnie.)

Boys: Grandpa!
Ronnie: Hi boys.
Flynn: So, if Ree didn't get married, there are Ollie's boys?
Ronnie: Yeah. Oliver Tyzonn Jr and Ronald Johnathan. Or, as we call them, OT and RJ. Mom and Dad started the RJ one, said they met a Ranger with that name once.

(Ollie and his wife, Amy enter.)

Ollie: Hi Dad. Oh, you've got company.
Ronnie: Yeah. Ollie, you remember Flynn. You met him briefly when we came back to stop the Venjix attack.
Ollie: Oh yeah. When we first met Max. Nice to see you again. This is my wife, Amy.
Amy: Hello.
Flynn: You have such adorable wee lads.
Ollie: They can be a handful sometimes, but, Grandma says Dad and Uncle Ty were the same way at that age.
Flynn: Your Uncle was quite a handful back in Corinth, before he started helping us.

(SPD Heaquarters. While Alpha Squad is still dealing with the loss of Jon, they are in the rec room. Annie has brought little Ashley with her today.)

Barty: I envy you, Annie. You and Zordy only have one baby to take care of. Angel and I have four.
Annie: It's genetics. You two just hot the lottery.

(Cassie is being rather quiet. Brian Jr is playing a video game. Suddenly, Sam arrives.)

Sam: Hey guys.
Barty: Hey little bro.
Sam: Hey there, Ashley. How's Uncle Sam's big niece?

(Ashley just gurgles.)

Annie: So, what's uo?
Sam: Well, Sep's ready to return from maternity leave. We've got someone to take care of the boys.
Annie: I'm lucky Zee likes being a stay at home dad.
Sam: And, my team finally got a fifth member.

(A young woman, around Junior's age, walks in.)

Sam: This is Sabrina. And she happens to be from Gray Lake.
Barty: Nice to see someone from back home.
Sabrina: We moved there in early 2015, because of my parents' jobs.
Annie: What kind of work do they do?
Sabrina: It's kind of hard to explain.

(Junior finally pauses his game. As he looks at Sabrina, his jaw drops slightly.)

Junior (thinking): She's beautiful.
Sam: Sabrina, these are my siblings, Barty, Annie and Cassie, this adorable little bundle is Annie's daughter, Ashley, named for our Mom. And that's one of my best friends, and our cousin, Brian Jr.
Sabrina: I think I used to see you at Gray Lake High.
Junior: That's possible. I was Class of '24.
Sabrina: I'm Class of '25.
Junior: So, about a year younger than me.

(Junior and Sabrina have been spending a lot of time together over the past few days. And now, they're on the target range.)

Junior: Wow, you're good.
Sabrina: Thanks. My dad taught me how to shoot.
Junior: Nothing like this, I bet.
Sabrina: No, but it was similar. You know, our Dads know each other.
Junior: Really?
Sabrina: My Dad told me so last night. He also knows your Uncle Bob. He said it was OK to tell you more about my family.
Junior: OK.
Sabrina: My Dad's the leader of a group that functions similarly to SPD. They monitor extra-terrestrials living on Earth. Your Dad and Uncle provided them with some technology. We call it a Neuralyzer. Minutiaeians call it a Memorican.
Junior: Dad told us about them. Back when his cousin, Mal, was found in Harwood County. They said he would have to fill out some paperwork.
Sabrina: Standard for aliens living on Earth. With the exceptions of your Dad and Uncle.

(A holographic target of Gruumm appears. Sabrina fires, getting a perfect score.)

Junior: Wow. (thinking) I wonder if this is how Willy felt as he got to know Angela better? Or Dad with Mom?

(Gray Lake. Six years after the defeat of Venjix. Ronnie and Tella are relaxing, while Veronica plays with a doll nearby.)

Tella: I cannot believe the Feast is almost upon us.
Ronnie: I know. Not to mention Dillon's birthday. You know, the worst Feast I ever had was the one when I was in Corinth.
Tella: Oh?
Ronnie: Yeah. You and Ree were on Mercuria still, Ollie was back here, and I thought Ty was dead. It was just me and Bubo. I didn't even have a shrub, and no way to come back home.
Tella: That does sound rather bad.
Ronnie: Yeah. I'm glad it was only one Feast without you. And now, we have three children, and two wonderful grandsons.
Tella; How true.

(Ronnie gets up to feed Bubo.)

Ronnie: If he was still in the wild, Bubo probably wouldn't be around right now. Barn Owls in the wild only live four years. In captivity, they can live up to eleven. So, probably another four or five years.

Ty: Happy birthday, Dillon.
Tenaya: Happy birthday.
Dillon: Thanks, Mom, Dad. Too bad Uncle Dillon and Aunt Summer cant be here.
Tenaya: Who knows where they are right now? They could be back at Corinth for all we know.
Ty: Unless the Fury ran out of gas.
Tenaya: Ty.
Ty: I'm just saying. Anyway, this is just a small party. Tonight, you get a bigger one. With Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Ronnie, Aunt Tella, Aunt Rose, Uncle Harry, Aunt Andi, Uncle Joey, Max and all your cousins.
Dillon: And then the Feast in two days. More presents.
Ty: Just like I was at his age.

Alfred: I guess you've got a decision to make. The twins turn 13 next month. Do you want them to have a bar and bat mitzvah?

Mary: It would be difficult to find a rabbi here, but yes, I would like that.

Alfred: If all else fails, we can have your parents arrange for one to arrive on a flight. That's the great thing about there being commercial space flights here now. If not for those, Willy would never have met his first born daughter.

Alfred: I usually am. Comes with the Hyper-Intelligence.

(Alfred kisses Mary.)

Alfred: No problem. The communications window should open soon after the twins are off to school.

(A blur moves past them.)

Alfred: I think someone needs a new power regulator. If we can catch him.

Mary: Maybe we can trap him.

Alfred: I've got this well in hand.

(Alfred walks over to an intercom.)

Alfred: William Benjamin Crowmeowme, you return your sister's brush right this second, young man, or your mother and I are taking away all your game systems.

Billy: Aw, Dad.
Alfred: Don't "aw, Dad" me. You're almost 13. You should be using your powers so recklessly. While you and your sister are at school, I will disconnect your game systems, and lock them up for two weeks.
Billy: Two weeks?
Alfred: Are you trying for three?
Billy: No. It's just that BJ and I were working on a major mission.
Alfred: Your cousin will understand. I know Willy's had to punish him before.
