This thread is for the new series Yu-Gi-oh Arc V, due out next month.
This series has the Pendulum Summon Mechanic, mentioned in the Zexal thread.

(It has been some time since Holographic Dueling has been introduced to the world, where Players played with holographic cards. In this new future, players now use Action Cards to play, along with a new Pendulum Summon mechanic, makes duels more interesting)
(You Show Duel School, an average Junior High school)
Yuya: I intend to becoe the greatest Performance Duelist ever. I will show all who is the best.
(Many others just ignore this student, including 14 year old Victor, a somewhat experienced Duelist)
Victor: You wouldn't last even one duel.
Yuya: I will show you. I will use Action Cards and Pendulums in such a way that people will be amazed.
Victor: I tend to duel without those cards.
Yuya: Now that we can interact with our monsters in the same arena, they made these cards to make duels interesting. Most people have a deck of fifteen such cards.
Victor: I will leave you to your fantasies. I have class.
(Yuya sighs)

(OOC: Using Japanese translation like in most other places. First duel will come shortly)

(OOC: Starting this duel a bit early. Two parter)

Yuya: Come on Gong, we have a duel to finish.
Gong Strong: I know. You have a set card, 4000 Life and a Hip Hippo in attack mode. I have 2600, 4 cards, no set cards and two Superheavy cards in defense. My move. I tribute both my cards to summon Superheavy Samurai Big Benkai in defense.
Yuya: I activate the effect of my Hip Hippo.
(At this point, the duel ends, as the Solid Vision system malfunctions)
Yuya: That sucks. Maybe next time.
Victor: Not a bad duel. Maybe you'll get a Pendulum card someday.
Yuya: Do not remind me.
(Later)
Sledgehammer: I am the Action Duel King. I dare you to duel me, Yuya.
Gong: You really want to duel him? He's good.
Yuya: You're on. Action Duel rules.
Sledgehammer: Spell Card Castle of Chaos. We can only have one Action Card in our hand at a time.
Yuya: Okay My turn. I summon Hip Hippo in attack mode.
Sledgehammer: I draw. I activate the magic card Feast of the Wild Level 5. With this card, I can summon two level 5 monsters, but their effects will be disabled. I summon Swamp Battleguard and Lava Battleguard. I tribute my two monsters to summon Battleguard King. My card can attack twice as long as I have a monster to target. I attack.
Yuya: Action Card, Evasion.
Sledgehammer: Again.
Yuya: Action Card, Miracle. My damage is halved. (Yuya - 2900)
Sledgehammer: I set one card.
Yuya: My turn. I tribute my Hip Hippo, which will count as two tributes for Odd Eyes Dragon. I activate Wonder Balloons. I send three Action Cards to place three counters on my card. I send my card to the graveyard to lower your cards attack by 3000. (0) I attack.
Sledgehammer: Action Card, Miracle (Sledgehammer - 2750) As I took damage, I activate Battleguard Rage, increasing his attack by 2000 (2000)
Yuya: My turn is over (Battleguard - 5000)
Sledgehammer: I attack.
Yuya: Action card...
Sledgehammer: Too late (Yuya - 400) I activate Battleguard Magic. I gain life back (-> 4000 LP) and your monster returns to your hand. I set one card.
Yuya: My turn. My pendant... what is happening? I set Timegazer Magician in the Pendulum Zone (1) and Stargazer Magician in the other (8). I can now Pendulum Summon between level 2 and level 7. I summon Whip Snake, Sword Fish and Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon in attack mode. I activate the effect of Whip Snake to change the attack and defense of your monster (1100 attack) I activate the effect of my Sword Fish to reduce your attack by 500 (600 attack) I attack.
Sledgehammer: I activate Battleguard Howling.
Yuya: My Timegazer magician has an effect. Since your trap targets one monster, I can negate it, and cause you not to use it until next turn.
Sledgehammer: Action Card, Evasion.
Yuya: My Stargazer Magician allows me to stop that effect as well. My Odd eyes Pendulum Dragon will double the battle damage it does. Game over.

Yuya: Now that I know about Pendulum Summon, I should be able to beat anyone.
Zuzu: You seem overconfident. How about a duel?
Yuya: Okay.
Zuzu: Action duel rules. Field Spell Plain Plane. One Action card in the hand at a time.
Yuya: I go first. I summon Hip Hippo in attack mode.
Zuzu: My turn. I summon Aria the Melodious Diva. I attack.
Yuya: Action card, Evasion.
Zuzu: my card does 800 to you. (Yuya - 4200)
Yuya: My turn. I place Timegazer magician in my Pendulum Zone (2) and Odd Eyes Dragon in my other zone (4). Pendulum Summon.
(Yuya tries to Pendulum summon, but cannot) That should have worked. What am I doing wrong?
Am I not in a pinch?
Zuzu: Since you cannot Pendulum Summon, it is my turn. I special summon Sonata the Melodius Diva, as I control a Melodious Diva. I tribute summon my two monsters to summon Mozarta, the Melodious Diva. Now, the effect of my monster allows me to summon another Aria. I attack you with Aria.
Yuya: I am in a pinch now. Come on, Pendulum Summon. (again it fails)
Zuza: I attack and win.

(Victor just sighs)
Victor: He's such a newbie.

(After the duel, cafeteria)
Yuya: I will figure it out. I will get better.
Victor: You are not in my league. I am called the Pendulum Preventer. Until you get better, I can't help you.
(Some other duelists are speaking with Victor.)
Victor: Yuya, where do you get Action Cards? I would like to buy some.
Yuya: Honestly, any shop would sell a basic pack.
Victor: Guess I will check after school.

(A limo arrives in Paradise City. Inside, Ernie Redstone III, the recently widowed son of Ernie Jr and Minnie, and his two children, the 14 year old twins, Emily and Emile. They are two sides of the same coin. Emily. who has her great grandmother Akiza's red hair, is a less than successful amateur Duelist, but she is very kind and generous. Emile, however, is a much better Duelist, preferring to use Old School methods, as opposed to action cards. He also believes that his family's money means he can do whatever he wants, or get whatever, or whoever, he wants. He has shown signs of some of the powers his Great-Grandfather Craig had.)

Emily: This seems like a nice city.
Emile: It's nothing compared to New Domino.
Ernie III: Now, Emile. We moved here to we could make a fresh start. We're Redstones. We can make it anywhere. Just like my Great Great Great Great Great Great Greandfather Ekias did when he moved to old Domino from Checkerville. First thing we do is get you enrolled in Duel School.
Emile: Fine. Let's head to the Leo Academy.
Emily: No way, bro. I want to go to the You Show School. After all, Yusho Sakaki was a great Duelist.

(Victor sees the limo after school, on his way to the card shop)
Victor: Rich people...

[PrezGAR]

(The limo passes by the card shop.)

Emile: Ooh, stop the car, Frederick. I need to see what new cards they have.
Ernie III: Cant you wait until we see our new home first?
Emile: Home isn't going anywhere, Dad. If there's a good card, someone else could buy it.

(Ernie III and Emily just sigh.)

(Victor sees the limo as he enters)
Victor: Hello? I am here to buy some Action Cards?
(Victor looks around)

[PrezGAR]

(Emile and Emily enter. Emily starts looking at some pre-owned cards.)

Emile: I want to see the most expensive cards you have. None of those stupid action cards, though.
Emily: You know that's the direction Dueling is going, bro.
Emile: Like I care.

(The owner is busy. Victor is looking at cards.)
Victor: Pendulum Pawn. Relatively cheap. I may add that to my collection.
Owner: Action cards? I have a few basic sets.
Victor: Anything else?
Owner: Beyond that, nothing unusual.
Victor: How much for the Pendulum Pawn and a Action Card pack?
Owner: Five dollars, total.
Victor: I'll take them both.
(Victor pays for his cards and leaves)
Owner: May I help you?

Emile: I want to see your most expensive cards. Especially if they're old school.

Owner: I have many old card, I will bring them all out.

Victor: Level 1, Pendulum 1. 500 attack and defense. It at least gives me security, and allows me to Pendulum summon my Dragon. I will add it to my deck.

Emile: I hope he has a Blue Eyes. Or three.
Emily: As long as you don't want a jet that looks like one.

Owner: A Blue Eyes? I have seen one, but they are too expensive even for me. However, I do have something else. A Dark Magician, very rare.

Emile: I suppose that will do for a start. Do you have a Dark Sage?

Owner: No, but I have a few Time Wizards. As for your other card, I only know of person who may own them.
(The owner hands a piece of paper with a name and a number)
He is a relative of Seto Kaiba.

Emile: The Kaibas haven't been the same since he had to file for bankruptcy protection years ago.
